Oral-B Touch & Learns
One of the first production projects I got to work on when I joined Popcorn Tag was the Oral B Touch & Learn. The project had been approved and was in production when I arrived. I flew to China to meet with our General Manager to Quality Control the assembly and packing of the complex units.
The original run had a dozen different retailers and planograms requiring batch production offshore to ensure no components were mixed. Due to Customs and regulations on shipping batteries and electronics, the product had to be repacked and fitted at our Melbourne, Australia facility.
It was a very large, multifaceted production and assembly process to meet the clients instore deadline.

The initial run won Bronze at the Shop!2018 POPAI awards for retail & my re-run of smaller, compact designs won Gold in 2019.
Over the past 4 years I personally engineered and ran an additional 5 Touch & Learn displays that went into different retailers such as Shavershop, Myer, David Jones, JB-HiFi, Priceline & more. As the current Account Manager for P&G and assembly lead for the original T&L project, it was a clear choice.
There were a lot of challenges in these displays, due to their size and requirements by the client. They included:
Weight restrictions (combination of Aluminium and thin Acrylic)
Must light up education and edge lit acrylic without light bleeding
Modular product handles for future updates
Power to all brushes for charging and transformer for LED’s built into base
Updatable artwork
Smooth security cables to reduce product theft
