Venus Education for Priceline

In the middle of Victoria’s Stage 3 & 4 lockdowns the team at Venus approached me for a category management and education for their range in Priceline. Venus were losing sales in the department due to clutter and lack of shopper direction. Due to the nature of Priceline stores there were up to 4 different store planograms to meet with no comprehensive data on their instore bays or fixings. Most of the design challenges lay in making an educational panel that fits every store bay & doesn’t obscure stock from being easily shopped.

The education and category management had to incorporate brands outside the P&G family, so artwork had to be both generic and supplied by different parties. I ended up taking over the final art of the project to ensure we met deadlines, as Tag Studio were under pressure for multiple brand updates due to the pandemic.

The education panel was entered into Shop!2020 POPAI Awards as its mid-pandemic execution actually turned the loss sales around - reinstating Venus as a profitable product line in Priceline Pharmacies. Here is the entry video, with footage of testing, installation and sales figures.
